About Us
Havenguard was founded in 2025 by 3 University of Kentucky graduates. As the persistence of tornados continued to move further east into Central Kentucky, we looked to find an option to protect our families from this growing threat. While our state’s limestone rich soil is great for our horse industry, it’s not ideal for digging holes large enough for below ground storm shelters. While we continued to research, a tornado hit the horse farm pictured above in Burgin KY, mere feet from one of our homes. We knew then we had to find a solution that allowed for above ground protection. After months of research, we partnered with our friends at Ironclad Storm Shelters to bring their incredible product to the Bluegrass State. No state in the union has residents that care for each other like Kentucky, and we hope to continue that tradition. We look forward to servicing you and your family, and to the Cats bringing home #9!
